Woman in black top and green shorts stands on a balcony, gazing at palm trees and water. The mood is calm and reflective.
A woman gazes thoughtfully out a window, taking in the tranquil view of palm trees and a serene waterfront.

There was a time when the darkness wasn't just a feeling - it was a place where I lived.

At the peak of my depression, I had never felt so heavy. Everything in my life seemed to collapse at once: my health, a broken arm, and a relationship that ended in total silence. It felt like too much to carry, so eventually… I stopped trying to carry it.

I spent most days under the covers. Sleep was easier than being awake. Being unconscious felt safer than being in my own life. I didn’t know how to pull myself out, and for the first time, I was truly scared.

The First Small Shift

When you get that low, you aren’t thinking about "potential" or "purpose." You are just trying to survive the next hour. I tried the traditional paths - therapy and medication - but nothing seemed to touch the weight settled deep inside my chest.

I started searching for anything that could offer even a moment of relief. That’s when I found Sound Baths.

It wasn’t a sudden spiritual awakening; it was simpler than that. It gave me one hour where my mind finally went quiet. It was an hour where I wasn't drowning in my own thoughts. Slowly, I started connecting with people again, even becoming friends with the studio owner. It was the first crack of light.

Discovering the 9D Breathwork for depression

Then, a friend suggested breathwork. I tried a few sessions and felt a spark of curiosity, but I didn't fully understand it yet. One day, while scrolling through Facebook, I saw something entirely new: 9D Breathwork.

I decided to go. Alone.

The session was at Gallery DeFi in Dallas. The space was vibrant and alive—the opposite of clinical or heavy. But when I saw the specialized headphones laid out, the nerves kicked in. I had no idea what I was walking into.

Still, I stayed. I laid down, put on the headphones, and began.

Finding Relief: How 9D Breathwork Aided My Recovery.

For the first time in years, I wasn’t stuck in my head. I wasn’t replaying the past or drowning in "what-ifs." I was just... in the experience.

By the end of that hour, I felt lighter. Not magically "fixed," and not completely healed - but lighter. It felt as if a small piece of the weight I had been carrying for years had finally broken off.

It was relief. Real, tangible relief.

I eventually learned the science behind 9D Breathwork for depression—how it communicates directly with the nervous system. and the body, often working faster than traditional talk therapy. But at the time, I didn't need the science. I just needed to feel better. And I did.

A New Way to Exhale

That first session didn’t change my life overnight, but it changed my direction. Sometimes, a small shift is all it takes. A little light in the room to show you that maybe, just maybe, you’re going to be okay.

If you’re in a dark place right now, please don’t give up. There are tools that can help you; you just might not have found them yet.

9D Breathwork was that tool for me. It’s why I created Exhale Breathwork.
